Gear

Proper gear is essential in Belize to ensure a comfortable experience while withstanding the tropical heat and powerful fish, though quality tackle can be provided if needed.

Essential Apparel

High-quality, UPF-rated clothing is vital for staying cool in the tropical heat and protecting your skin from the intense Caribbean sun during long days on the water.

Accessories

Essential accessories provide the critical protection and specialized tools necessary to maintain your equipment and your health during long, sun-drenched days on the water.

What to Expect?

Permit Caye Caulker

Before your Trip

Prioritize mastering a high-speed double-haul cast, as the ability to cut through wind with quick, accurate presentations is the most critical factor for success on the Belizean flats.

The Day Of

The day begins with an early wake-up and the focused routine of rigging lines, double-checking knots, and loading the skiff with the quiet, high-stakes energy of knowing every cast will soon count.

After your Trip

After the boat is docked, a quick freshwater rinse of your rods, reels, and flies is essential to neutralize salt and prevent corrosion before you head out to celebrate the day's catches with a sunset cocktail and a local seafood dinner.
